Teach kids math
The Playful Path to Mathematics
Ignite a lifelong passion for mathematics by teaching it early and playfully. Our simple exercises are designed to help children build a deep-seated confidence with numbers, patterns, and logic.
You’ll see them naturally develop their own intuition and initiative, leading them to explore and expand upon these exercises on their own. They’ll become self-directed learners who find the joy and beauty in math.
The most important key is consistency. Aim to practice a little every day, even if just for a few minutes! Short, frequent sessions build momentum and make learning stick.
How to teach kids math - Step by step
Level: 0
Age: 2+
Encourage kids to start counting anything. Start with small numbers like 1,2 and 3 and then gradually increase up to infinity 🙂
Level:Â 1
Age:Â 3+
Train your child to recognize numbers and associate quantities using fingers and dots.
Level:Â 2
Age:Â 3+
Help your child practice with adding quantities. It is about keep counting even when objects belong to different groups.
Level:Â 3
Age:Â 3+
Adding two small numbers (<5) represented by adding fingers of one hand to fingers on the other hand is the first step to get familiar with the addition operation.
Level:Â 4
Age:Â 3+
Partitioning is a key concept in mathematics. Getting familiar with all possible ways of decomposing key numbers (5, 10, 12, 16) into a sum of 2 smaller numbers is very useful.
Level: 5
Age: 3+
Adding two numbers with one being greater than 5 and the other small enough so the sum is not greater than 10 is the next logical step for kids to learn.
Level:Â 6
Age:Â 3+
Partitioning number 10 into 2 numbers.
Level:Â 6.5
Age:Â 4+
Counting 0 to 100 row by row and column by column.Â
Level: 7
Age: 4+
Multiplication tables visualized as sums of dots, rectangles and squares.
