## How to teach kids math - Step by step

**Level:** 0**Age:** 2+

Encourage kids to start counting anything. Start with small numbers like 1,2 and 3 and then gradually increase up to infinity ðŸ™‚

**Level:**Â 1**Age:**Â 3+

Train your child to recognize numbers and associate quantities using fingers and dots.

**Level:**Â 2**Age:**Â 3+

Help your child practice with adding quantities. It is about keep counting even when objects belong to different groups.

**Level:**Â 3**Age:**Â 3+

Adding two small numbers (<5) represented by adding fingers of one hand to fingers on the other hand is the first step to get familiar with the addition operation.

**Level:**Â 4**Age:**Â 3+

Partitioning is a key concept in mathematics. Getting familiar with all possible ways of decomposing key numbers (5, 10, 12, 16) into a sum of 2 smaller numbers is very useful.

**Level:** 5**Age:** 3+

Adding two numbers with one being greater than 5 and the other small enough so the sum is not greater than 10 is the next logical step for kids to learn.
